Along the Old Northern Highway, once dominated by the PUP, the UDP won hands down in Boston, St. Ann’s and Bomba; took 5 out of 6 councilors in Lucky Strike; 5 out of 6 councilors also in Rockstone Pond; and 4 out of 6 councilors in Maskall to command the majority.

In Belize Rural Central, Michael Hutchinson and the UDP had the biggest victory in Ladyville by well over 300 votes. Lord’s Bank also went solidly RED. And in Hattieville the UDP narrowed the margin to just over 100 votes.

With Ramon Witz, Cayo South is REDDER than ever, with massive, first-time wins in Cotton Tree, Unitedville, and Valley of Peace. The UDP also scored a major victory in St. Margaret’s Village where the PUP had ruled for 3 consecutive terms. Roaring Creek has gotten REDDER with the UDP winning by over 300 votes. So has Teakettle, and also Camalote. Blackman Eddy and Ontario are UDP friendly.

In Cayo Central, Rene Montero scored first-time UDP victories in Georgeville, Buena Vista, San Antonio and Yalbac, and extended the margin in Cristo Rey and San Marcos. With Elvin Penner in Cayo North East, the UDP won its first ever victory in Santa Familia, with Esperanza gone redder. In Cayo North, Salvador Fernandez is a sure win, with the only village in that constituency, Bullet Tree, staying solid RED.

With Melvin Hulse back in Stann Creek West, former PUP strongholds like Hopkins and Independence have gone completely RED. So have Seine Bight, San Juan, San Pablo and Middlesex. Others have gotten redder, like Georgetown, Placencia, San Roman, Santa Rosa, Maya Mopan, Sittee River, Alta Vista, Steadfast and Valley Community. And in Pomona, hometown of the PUP Area Representative, the UDP won the Chairmanship as well as two councilors.

With Arturo Roches in Dangriga, the UDP has won over Hope Creek by a wide margin, and Sarawee by a margin of 2 to 1, both villages going from Blue to RED.

In Toledo West, Juan Coy won convincingly in San Pedro Columbia, his own hometown and that of his PUP opponent also a very big village. The UDP also took control of San Antonio, another heavily populated village, and also Jalacte. In Toledo West, the UDP won a total of 18 villages out of a maximum of 28.

In Toledo East, Eden Martinez and the UDP scored a major victory in Bella Vista, with historic wins in Conejo Creek and in Midway. In Toledo East, the UDP won a total of 14 villages out of a maximum of 19.

Countrywide, the UDP has been victorious in a hundred and fourteen villages out of a total of 183 villages, with an additional 15 villages being UDP friendly and 10 being completely independent. With so many villages gone Red, so many gone Redder, and only a handful remaining faintly blue, it is clear the rural people countrywide have rejected this Musa Administration just as those in the municipalities did last year.

Congratulations and thanks for supporting the United Democratic Party. Now let’s get ready for the General Elections when all Belizeans in every town and city, every village and community will vote once again to rescue and restore our country.
